Tory Leather Deluxe Vienna Sliding Side Reins - Snaps

From the original Tory Leather - MADE IN USA. These deluxe Vienna sliding side reins have snaps for easy on and off and is used with a training surcingle or saddle when lunging the horse. Attach these sliding side reins to the girth with the snaps or the girth loop, run the reins up through the belt, hook the reins to the rings on the surcingle or the saddle, and then the horse will adjust himself to the pressure of the side reins without the rider pulling on the mouth. This item is used when lunging the horse to develop balance and flexion. Snaps have been added to the rein ends as well as a snap and girth loop to the strap that attaches to the girth for easy on and off. These reins are also sometimes called Vienna side reins and Vienna lunge reins. This item has several names but is used as a training aid to encourage the horse to learn to balance himself, round his back and carry himself properly on the bit. The action of the reins is similar to that of the German martingale in that the horse adjusts himself to the pressure of the reins without the rider pulling or a regular side rein that is stationary.
