The top of the pad has a 4? spine slot which creates relief for horses with a prominent backbone to reduce spinal contact with the saddle and pad, as well asaids in heat release. This wool contour padis made with wool felt that provides excellent shock protection. It will naturally wick away more moisture, release heat build up, breathe for a cooler ride, and is quick drying after use. The wool conforms to the horses back resulting in less slippage. The contour shape provides better fit for horses with more pronounced withers or more sway to their back and allows the saddle to fit properly. Also, heavy oiled grain out leathers are used which results in less cracking and drying out.
